Monstrous happenings.

The first chapter (of three) of Monstrous came out last week in Dark Horse Presents #30. Reviews so far have been positive.dark_horse_presents_30_cover

“I particularly liked Monstrous. … I’m going to keep an eye out for this one.”

“I have to say I really enjoyed the story with St. George and the Monstrous title. … Those two were my favorites.”

“Horton’s story is interesting as ever, but Cody’s art is the jam! I loved the art and the style.”

Yikes.

Been a while since I have posted on here.  The second annual ACME event held on Free Comic Book Day was a huge success as we had about 21 artists out. It could not have been a better event, and to date is the best convention experience I’ve had this year. Emerald City Comicon had a massive 61% drop for me this year and Phoenix Comicon followed that up with a huge 41% drop. I think I may have bled these markets dry and will take a different approach to conventions next year. The wonderful Albuquerque Comic Expo is coming up in a few weeks, and I am really looking forward to that. Also this summer I have a few books coming out.

I have a ten page story in the Masks and Mobsters hardcover from Image, , written by creator Joshua Williamson, out in July. It was fun to draw and featured a character I created.

I also have a short story, written by Corrina Bechko, in Image Comics Outlaw Territory Vol.3. Out in July as well, I think.

I also pitched in and helped to wrap up Atomic Robo: Real Science Adventures #9 from Red 5 Comics, doing 10 pages of art on that book. That should be out soon as well. Also, coming in July is Doc Unknown #3! The cover is below. The Doc Unknown books are getting great reviews and are now available on Comixology as well.
