I first heard The Pixies when I was a freshman in high school. Much like the scene in Garden State where the guy from Scrubs tells Padme that “it will change your life”, for me it did. By far, my favorite band of all time, and a hugely influential one as well. Next month a small tribute anthology called Break The Walls will be coming out, where all the short stories are inspired by the band and their music. I illustrated a story written by Joshua Fialkov in it, but the part I am most proud and excited of is that my pal Scott Godlewski agreed to draw a story I wrote for it.
