If you’re an Arizona sports fan, I’ve uploaded a few new prints to my store page, all available via paypal for $20 (includes U.S. shipping).
I’ve been lacking in my updates, big time. My upcoming appearances for this year, so far, are The Arizona Comic Mini Expo in May and Phoenix Comic-Con and Heroes Con in June. At all shows I’ll be selling original art and doing sketches.
Here are some recent commissions I’ve done. If you’re interested in your own commission, please email me. I’m also available for pencils, inks or colors starting May 1st.
I’ll be back in Tucson, AZ the first weekend of November for Tucson Comic-Con. Come on by and pick up some original art, get a sketch or pick up some comics! Price list will be announced soon, pre-show commission list is open now! Email hurricanekids@gmail.com for more info.
If you feel like supporting a great cause (big cat conservation), and getting some original art out of it, read on! Crazy man Brian Khepri is doing a 34-Hour run to support lions in Africa He’s currently more than halfway through and has run more than two marathons aleady. If you decide to help support his cause, I’ll return some love (and artwork) your way. Anyone from my feed who donates $75 or more, I’ll do you an 11×17 commission. Only 3 spots available due to my schedule, so let me know here or through PM if you donate.

Here is a quick breakdown of the steps involved when I make comics. In this instance, I did my layouts and pencils in Manga Studio 5, then I printed the pencils in blueline on standard 11×17 Strathmore Vellum paper. I inked the page using a Deleter nib, Microns and a Kuretake Brush pen. After scanning the page back in I colored it in Photoshop CS2. Boom!
To say I am excited for Heroes-Con next week would be an understatement. An artist oriented con, 4-days to chat with and spend time with other pros and have fun. I’m excited. I’ve already done a handful of pre-show commissions and I still have a healthy chunk to do, so I’m working on that alongside trying to catch up on Doc Unknown Vol.3. I will be at Artist Alley table 823 all weekend, so if you’re in the area, please stop by. I’ll have original pages starting at just $40, con sketches for just $25 and full-fledged commissions starting at $45. Prints are $15 and that includes my limited edition Heroes-Con 2015 Phantom print. I’ll also be happy to sign any Phantom, Doc Unknown or HERO Initiaitve books you may have.
